There are new warnings to dog owners in the region about a potentially fatal disease known as Alabama Rot.
The condition – which attacks the skin of dogs – was first detected in the UK six years ago, and the number of cases diagnosed has risen each year. It’s still small – only two in Sussex and one in Kent – but it’s a rising trend.
There is no known cause – but experts believe it could be picked up in muddy areas of fields and parks. Matt Price reports.
